Grace's Passion and wonderful support....
The weekend keeps on going....Flag Football
Caleb just loves his flag football and I am so happy he has found something that he is excited about. He is going to be Quarterback for the rest of the season. He has been running track at school so he is in pretty good shape. I am thankful the rain has held off for games. He is already talking about tackle, oh, no.
Caleb's Halloween
Caleb also enjoyed the parade at school, but did tell his teacher I said he could NOT wear his costume in the parade, wow, what a creative mind that kid has. I have to say that both years when I have gone into his class to take pictures, everyone LOVES to gather round him and have their picture taken, I think he is quite the social kid. I think along with the other activities, he enjoyed trick or treating with his good buddy, Gavin and then when we got home, he really enjoyed handing out candy to trick or treaters. We had run out of candy and told them so and closed the door, but he jumped up, grabbed candy from his bag and ran outside and up the sidewalk, he didn't want them to go without. We ended up picking some candy out for the Great Pumpkin, who comes to our house and takes the rest of the candy after they eat one piece and leaves them a toy. The rest we put out on the porch in a bowl and closed the door. Almost immediately I hear a ruckus and afterwards look out, knowing well that they had taken all the candy, my intention, but they threw my bowl on the grass, how nice is that?
Grace's Halloween
For Grace's Halloween, her school first did a parade in the rain. I was waiting in the classroom when she returned to help out the wonderful and creative room mother. She had lots of fun surprises waiting! They played bingo with candy corn, Grace managed to eat the white but still had the orange to cover the square, they ate cupcakes and played sherades which is what Grace is doing in the first photo. She also had a lot of fun with trunk or treating at harvest fest and all the activities and is also my die hard trick or treater.
Julia's Halloween....
We started out the day by going to our retirement community, to have a parade with other kids from our community and the residents were all in the lobby handing out candy. This is Julia's first lollipop. She had the wrapper off before I knew it. It was so great to see the people's face light up as they saw all the little kids dressed up, they thoroughly enjoyed it, I know. Then Julia got to go and play at her best friend Ashley's house, seen pictured here for a little while so I could go to the other school parties. After school we headed over to a very nice Harvest Festival on post and then came back for trick or treating. This is Julia's first official time of trick or treating and she caught on VERY quickly. "I go next house?" She is a trooper and probably could have gone on for hours, but I was completely worn out. Next year Dad can take them out for hours and hours!
